Religion is important to society
because it helps to regulate behavior. Religion teaches people specific rules,
laws and morals to follow and to practice. Religion can teach the people to the
right way, because we are stay by group and by community, we can't stay only
one by ourselves, that's why if we don't have or don't know religion how can we
stay together? We cannot stay, that's why religion is important to society.
Religion is also the one element of life
that has connected the races and societies of the world for hundreds of years.
It has given meaning to lives that may seem otherwise hopeless. Religion has
provided for a universal language and culture among those who believe in a
higher power. Religion also gives people something to believe in, which can
make them happy and more comfortable. It provides believers with a meaning for
life and helps them work towards being a productive, moral person. Religion
also benefits for society by teaching people the art of self-sufficiency and
ideas that being charitable is important.
Religion promotes the major social
virtues like truth, non-violence, service, love, discipline etc. A
follower of the religions internalizes these virtues and becomes disciplined
citizen of the society. Parsons viewed that religion is one of the most
important agents of socialization and social control. It has significant role
in organizing and directing social life. It helps in preserving social norms
and strengthening social control. It socializes him individual and exercises
control over both individual and group in various ways. As an informal means,
religion regulates the activities of people in its own way. Religion has played
a significant role in political system in the medical society. Even in modern
times in many countries of the world.
Without Religion we cannot live in the world, because we don't know which one is bad which one is better, if we have religion, religion can help us to make different which is better and which one is bad in our life. with religion people can respect each other, that is why religion is very important in our society.
